"Ahead Of The Class"- Artist Profile : DREMUR

About Dremur

“– Nothing more than a moon amongst a constellation of star “

Dremur - Why

“Grind till the sunshine” a simple phrase that means a lot to a young Bronx breed MC, who doesn’t desire
the glitz and the glam of the industry. He’s satisfied with being heard. Raised by a single parent Dremur
has been dealt his fare share of dilemmas unlike many of his close friends and peers he choose to rise above.
His fear of pursuing a music career soon subsided after meeting Donny Goines, an underground MC steady on the
rise, who gave him some wise words…”no matter how tired or lazy you feel if you want something you go for it no
matter what”. Those words have remained embedded in his mind ever since. Dremur is humble and down to earth and
feels the simple things in life are the best things in life. He loves all things that are artistic from
dance, painting, and singing. Dremur understands that music as a career choice can be a very challenging journey
but with the right support and the right connections he is ready and willing to face all hurdles.
Dremur is also one fourth of hip-hop group Starvin Rebels, along with J.Haz, Mr. Geronimo and Epiphany Blu.
Constantly referred to Kanye for his appearance, Lupe for his flow and Common for his word play, Dremur remains
level headed and looks at these artists as people who have created a platform for him to follow.
Although the market is full of dance songs and poppy beats with auto-tuned hooks, his outlook on the game still
remains the same. The cliché line would be that Dremur is a breath of fresh air, but to be honest he doesn’t feel
that way. “I’m more reminiscent of what was, a reminder to the older cats and real hip-hop heads that lyrical
craftsmanship still exist”. He is unsure of where his career will go as an artist but he is an avid believer if
you can’t get in one way then you better find another. If you have not yet heard of Dremur you soon will, as he
continues to grind until his name is a common name on the hip-hop scene. As a writer of feel good music, a lover
of art, and all around great guy, Dremur has the motivation, determination, talent and charisma to reach his dream
and turn it into a reality. Currently Dremur is working on his first EP, For the Love of Dilla which is slated for
electronic release February 2010. He is also working with his group, Starvin Rebels on their debut project as well.
“As an artist I just love the fact that my music could possible make someone feel good,  and become motivated to take
it to the next level. That’s what I want for people, to find peace, love, and prosperity. That’s why I say that at the
end of all my messages because I’m searching for it and so should all my people”

"Ahead Of The Class"- Artist Profile : JAY WISE

Born and raised in the heart of Washington Heights, Jonathan "Jay Wise" Perez is the pure representation of not only The Heights and Harlem, but is the total embodiment of what Hip Hop has been needing for such a long time: A Fresh New sound. Winner of the Underground Hip Hop Awards at B.B. Kings in August of '07, Jay Wise has been the work horse of other artists/productions such as: P Star, the Girl Band known as the Heights, and overseas music company Project TONY. He has also been on tour in places such as St. Barths and Puerto Rico. Jay Wise is currently the lead artist of the Corp Cartel, who has 2 classic street albums hosted by Power 105's own DJ Carl Blaze ( R.I.P ) and The Heavy Hitter L Boogs. Jay Wise has brought his fresh sound to well known events such as those in S.O.B.'s, Tribeca Film Festival, HBO’s Latino Film Festival, Club Prime, Guest House, The China Club, various colleges and many notable stages. His fresh vibe has been collaborated with talented producers including: Micahel "Seven" Summers (he has worked with artist, Tech 9), XV, Brigantti, Kane Beatz and many others. DJs such as L Boogs (from La Calle, Hot 97, MTV3), Kay Slay, Green Lantern, Wiz Kid, Presice, D New, Marvelous, Enuff, C Lo, and many other DJs cannot help but work with such a unique sound. Not even the late Carl Blaze could resist his music. Jay Wise is the breath of fresh air that Hip Hop’s nearly dead lungs have been yearning for. The Reggaeton era has come and gone and now there is room for Latin Hip Hop to expand its horizons. Gone are the days of mistaking all Hispanic rappers as Reggaeton artists... This label could never be further from the truth when it comes to Jay Wise. With a talent replicated by none, a sound that resonates a pristine aura, and one that has been unheard for years and years, Jay wise gives his listeners what they have hungered for. To all the Sneaker Heads and Street Wearers, to all those back in The Heights and Harlem, and to all those waiting for Hip Hop to be revived: the wait is over, JAY WISE has arrived!

"Ahead Of The Class"- Artist Profile : Muzik Jones Drew

Name: Andrew L. Penn II
Alias: Muzik Jones Drew,
Hometown: Delray Beach, Florida
Influences: T.I., Nate Dogg, Pharell, Devin The Dude, Timbaland, D-Smoove, Drastic

Of course I was amongst the millions of kids, whose first instrument was a school desk but my true introduction to music came at the age of 8, playing the drums every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday at little ol’ Truth Tabernacle of God in Delray Beach, FL. Momma even had me singing in the choir. I never knew that something I hated so much then would be what I’m so good at today. Over time my hands have gotten in on just about every aspect of music. After drumming and singing, I began recording and making beats for my little brother Drastic’s hip-hop group at 15. Soon after, I was writing and doing hooks for just about everybody in the hood. In 2004 enrolling into what was Full Sail Real World Education at the time, would help me better understand what the technical side of music was all about. From there everything was history! I’ve produced songs with an incredible amount of artists and even had the chance to engineer live shows with a number of Grammy winning musicians. I recently released my first solo project, “Ghetto HarmonIz’N”. All I can say is, “Damnit, I’m proud of me!” After sitting back and looking at all I’ve done I thought to myself… “I got a Muzik Jones.” So here I am. Haha! All I ever wanted to do is create good popular music with and for the people… [AND] shoot, why not make a little moolah while I’m at it?! I’d say I’ve pretty much surrounded myself with so many musical activities that if I fell off, I’d fall on beat! Meet me, “I’m Muzik.”

"Ahead Of The Class"- Artist Profile : J.Moore

Jason Moore, Born in Buffalo New York. December 30th 1984

into a tumultuous Family life. At the age of 4, Jason’s Father

Production influences:  DJ Premier, RZA, Kanye West, Just Blaze and Alchemist

Rap industry influences: Jay-Z, Fabolous, Big-L Joell Oritz, Nas and Joe Budden

Jason was 21 when he discovered that he was musically talented. Making
beats on his fruity loops…. he took a class at UB.Learning Pro Tools
and Reason, Jason switched over to Reason to show his Producing
ability.

In late March 2009, Jason began rapping to enable others to hear not
only his Lyrics but also his Produced work and ability.

Being a strong interpreter on the music he listens to Jason likes to
say that he is always priding himself on being a “unquestionable” fan
and virtuoso of “True school, Real life Rap” Jason’s Influences in the
music industry and his conviction to tangible music, would not allow
him to make Music or lyrics without substantial meaning.
Realistically. Jason knows that in this world, not all can afford $200
jeans or $1000 chains to adorn themselves with. This is why his music
speaks to people in this world that can appreciate that artists such
as Jason Moore know that.

Jason stated to me “We have the aspirations for it so that drive and
hunger comes out in this thing we do. When I jump on a commercial beat
I have to say something with substance and style”

Being a true renascence man. Not only does Jason write, Produce and
Rap. Jason ALSO runs his Clothing line on the side of this! ACE OF ALL
TRADES APPAREL

Conviction and Drive will Carry Jason Moore far in this industry.
Getting his work into the right hands that can see what we see in his
Musical talent will not let you down.

"Ahead Of The Class"- Artist Profile : NOEM

Name : Anyelo Valencia

Alias: Noem

Hometown: Queens, New York

Influences : Good Music

I was introduced to rap at the age of 16 by my cousin CASPER. "Before i touched a REAL mic, i went through a lot of alternatives. CASPER had a MiniDisc player and we used to play the beat through my boom box while recording through a pair of headsets... yes... headsets. Then we stepped it up to a computer mic..  times were rough man.. haha." Back in those days i was mostly influenced by the Bone Thugs N Harmony and 2 Pac, so when it came to rhyming i stood out from the New York crowd. "My vibe was distinct. I used to spit a little fast then slow then poetic then sang a bit... but my lyrics were wild crazy!!! Talking about shooting this and shooting that... selling this and selling that... just  KRAZY *gucci voice* hahaha.". " I mean it was things i saw, things i heard , things i somewhat lived but not real to my self, my persona... not me... So after a couple of shows that i performed at 18 i stopped  and focused on beat making. A whole new world, for real." I made beats on and off until the fall of 2009. "That's when i decided to go in full force! My beats were better so i figured why not try spitting again... when i did i was shocked at how easy it was because my lyrics are personal... what i stand for.. who i am... everything around me is real and now as a grown man i see that.... yeah bitch! I'M GROWN! hahahaha j/k... but for real tho.. haha"
